All I know is, in my opinion, I have seen productions of Handel's operas that are at best disturbing and perverse. I think they were perfomed in Europe too (if that counts as "eurotrash")

Even just looking at youtube.... someone even staged the MESSIAH and had revolving sets with chairs and beds and garbage all over the place. The worst thing I ever saw, although the music wasn't bad.
