Thanks Simon, as I sorry to see this is a trend, then.

This was a real quick leg raise and deliberate stomp, which I found
annoying. Took away from the rest of the performance, as they are playing
for us, and if this is a ego thing, then I will take my 200 dollars I spent
on 2 tickets and go somewhere else.

Just my opinion,

I have noticed a rise in foot-stomping among violinists, both soloists who
play with my orchestra and chamber musicians with whom I play.
I would say it is a leg-raising, then leg-lowering at musical climaxes, more
than a foot-stomping per se.
But sometimes certain soloists extrapolate the leg-lowering into a full-on
stomp.
