I have noticed a rise in foot-stomping among violinists, both soloists who play with my orchestra and chamber musicians with whom I play.
I would say it is a leg-raising, then leg-lowering at musical climaxes, more than a foot-stomping per se.
But sometimes certain soloists extrapolate the leg-lowering into a full-on stomp.
