I was at a major concert last Saturday with a major conductor and a major
soloist on violin.

The soloist did the Bruch Violin Concerto no. 1. The symphony did a short
piece by Weber and then the final piece was Braham's Symphony no. 1.

At the end of a very strong solo passage, as all of them are very strong,
the soloist lifted his or her leg and stomped.

And it was quite loud.

Any thoughts on this, as it was a shock to hear in the piece as I have seen
many concerto's before and never had this happen. I know these people are
into their performance.

I will let you know latter who it was.

Mike
