Keith and Tony -

The reference is to Prokofiev's opera War and Peace, not Tolstoy's
novel. There are several hints: listening to the OPERA is essential
to understanding the VOCAL nature of the sonata phrasing, and the WORD
SETTINGS [in the opera] show where to BREATHE [in the sonata].

So this direct quote from David Denton is all fact, and Tony's
response is just bullshit from the usual source.
