Palisades Virtuosi Presents H2O =96 Water In All Its Forms Concert on =

March 26 in Ridgewood, New Jersey

Ridgewood, NJ - The critically-acclaimed Palisades Virtuosi presents H2O =

=96 Water In All Its Forms - the third concert of their 2010-2011 season =

on Saturday, March 26 - 8 PM at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 =

Cottage Place in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The evening will also include a =

pre concert composer and performer talk at 7:15.

This program features a World Premiere commissioned by the Virtuosi =96 =

Undercurrents Redux by David Sampson. Other works on the program include =

Handel=92s Water Music, Debussy=92s En Bateau, Gustav Holst=92s Neptune fro=
m =

The Planets, Aubin=92s Calme de la Mer and Saint Saens=92 Prelude from Le =

Deluge.

David Sampson has emerged as one of the truly unique voices of his =

generation achieving rapidly growing attention from major orchestras, =

soloists and ensembles. He was Composer-in-Residence for the Colonial =

Symphony Orchestra (1998-2007) and has had works commissioned and =

performed by, among many others, the National Symphony Orchestra; the =

Barlow Foundation for the Akron and Memphis Symphony Orchestras; the =

Bergen Foundation and cellist Paul Tobias and premiered with the New =

Palisades Virtuosi will be donating a portion of all concert proceeds to =

Bergen SWAN (Bergen Save the Watershed Action Network - =

questions about their efforts to preserve New Jersey waterways.

Funding for this concert is made possible in part by the NJ State =

Council on the Arts/Department of State, through grant funds =

administered by the Bergen County Dept. of Parks, Division of Cultural =

and Historic Affairs.

The Palisades Virtuosi, consisting of flutist Margaret Swinchoski, =

clarinetist Donald Mokrynski and pianist Ron Levy, is a 501 (c)(3) =

organization established to promote and enrich the repertoire for flute, =

clarinet and piano and present concerts that include existing and =

newly-commissioned repertoire for this configuration (each of their =

concerts includes a work commissioned by the ensemble), supplemented by =

solos, duos and larger works featuring guest artists. Volumes One, Two =
