During one of my intensive conversational French classes at the Alliance fr=
ancaise in Paris, my teacher said to me one day, "Olivier, tu =E9crit par t=
raduction." (Oliver, you write by translation). And therein lies my fatal=
flaw. One gets pretty good at it too, but it remains more or less frangla=
is and offers no little amusement for one's French friends. That works wel=
l for making more friends so, indeed, vive la difference.
