Yes, there is a robust cultural difference though. Whereas the UK Monday
crack at work revolves around football or TV in France it is the weekends
menu. They are scathing about our dress sense (with some justification) and
have a much more cosseted treatment of public figures by the media. It's
largely good fun and vive la difference.
