I have recently started an occasional clarinet quartet group and will try
out your piece at our next rehearsal, in about a month. I always like to
encourage basset horn composers!

One of the attractions of the clarinet quartet it that is IS a homogeneous
sound with just enough difference between the instruments to pick them out.
Like a string quartet!

I just wanted to add... its really out of balance and hard to hear the 1st
clarinet. I dont know how to fix it since in finale I have the "mixer"
balanced. I guess its just a technology flaw. or maybe its just my speakers.

Unfortunately, finale doesn't give much timbre difference between the
clarinets. It's easy to pick out the 2 Bb and the Basset horn sounds kind of
stuffy and the Bass has a harsh bite to it. I hope that someone enjoys
these!
