In addition to working well as thumb rest cushion, this stuff also works
well as replacement feet for those collapsible clarinet stands. I have
the one with three metal tubes. The tubes come with rubber feet that
pop off almost immediately. I put on an inch of surgical tubing, and
I've never needed to replace it.
