Subj: [kl] Humidifying BAM double clarinet case
Date: Wed, 23 Feb 2011 11:58:18 -0500

I took a pill bottle and punched some holes in the cap and put a damp spong=
e in =

there. Is this even helping? I ask because=A0the hygrometer isn't reflectin=
g any =

changes (I know the hygrometer is working). The humidity level in my case i=
s =

just a hair under 40%. When I close the case, I wonder if that impedes what=
I'm =

trying to do? It looks like the case closing just closes off the bottle in =
the =

accessory slot and cancels out what I'm trying to do, which is humidify the =

clarinets in the case.

I've heard mixed reviews about the commercial stuff out there (Dampit and =

whatnot). Most of what I've heard is that those things don't work (or don't=
work =

well).

I move into a different apartment next week (no more roommate, woohoo). If =
I =

close off a room and run my humidifier with the case open, will that help?
