Klarinet Archive - Posting 000078.txt from 2011/02

Last night Maggie and I attended a concert by The Orchestra of the Age of
Enlightenment at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, Cumbria , UK.
The house was packed and the performances electric. Tony played the Weber
Concerto No 1 with great gusto and delicate phrasing you could hear a pin
drop and even though I know the piece well couldn't resist joining in the
ripple of applause after the cadenza.
The evening finished with a dynamic account of Beethoven 7. In all an
exhilarating evening which I thought was enjoyed by the Orchestra as much as
the audience which sadly is not always the case.
Bravo
regards
Peter Gentry
