Spectacular. Thanks, Kathy. It would appear to be a five-camera set-up and note that you can see the microphone placement when the center camera shows the whole group at a distance. A set-up to die for!

Anyway, it is with more than a little satisfaction that the Internet, music notation software and decent music synthesis came along at just about the right time in my life. By 1995 I had become reconciled never to be able to play, with a live group or otherwise, most of the world's great clarinet literature. Then everything changed because of the march of technology.

I'm happy to say I've even played the Brahms with a live group -- about five years ago. On the way home from the gathering of her string quartet, my violist friend said to me, "That was fun, Oliver. We may even invite you to come back sometime." (!) Ah, and I keep sitting next to the phone waiting for it to ring. Meanwhile, it is just me and those guys who live in my laptop. They are on call any time of the day or night, they never complain, they play with technical perfection (at least to the extent of the fidelity of my speedy entry input) -- and their price is right!

Oliver
