Clarinet on the Town -- pretty cool piece Sousa Band and solo clarinetist
Gary Anderson played it a couple of years ago and it's in our library. I
can't remember if there's a good place for improv, but think there is but
probably not written. The piece is laid back and showcases the clarinet
well. Not classical in nature. Gary's a super intrepreter and does jazz and
improv well. I don't have immediate access to the composer/publisher, etc.,
but can get it if it can't be found on one of the publishing houses' lists.

A friend of mine is looking for a solo he can play with a concert band.
Ideally he would like something lyrical with an opportunity for
improvisation (with the changes). Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Gary
