As I remember, the study on which the reports of a "Mozart effect" were
based also showed (though the authors didn't publicize it at first)that
whatever the effect was that researchers observed, and whatever caused it,
it was not very lasting. Without looking it up, I seem to remember that the
test subjects returned to their normal states of learning effectiveness
within hours.

I would imagine that all references to Mozart as helping plants grow or
students struggle with mathematics are unsupported by reliable observation.
They come under the general heading things "they say that" or "it has been
proved that" without any foundation whatsoever.

Why muddle up beautiful music by ascribing to it such mundane attributes?
