I was in a very similar position: have been playing as an amateur 50 years,
mostly on Yamahas and Buffets (E11, E13 and R13). My R13 belongs to a
museum, a "house of fame" of our popular band, because I bought it from
their clarinet player 45 years ago. So I decided to get a new instrument and
I was comparing a Yamaha CSV, Yamaha CX, a Leblanc Symphony and a Buffet RC.
I was desperately trying to get a Hanson T5 with no response from their
side. Then I bought a Schneider 6010 for 130=80 that was surprisingly so go=
od
that I am staying with it. My friends who are all professional musicians
agree that the instrument is excellent.
