Hey everyone. I have an audition coming up that is very important to me. Since I have no current teacher I was hoping that I could utilize this list to help me out. My audition is in 1 month.
I recorded myself (unaccompanied since I won't have accomp for the audition) playing all 3 movements. I skipped rests obviously. I welcome negative comments since that is how I will get better but please say why something is bad and a possible solution.
Just some quick background about me to maybe help with comments.. Im 20, I started an instrument in 1995 and started Clarinet in 2004. Ive gone to college for 1 semester and studied music during that time.
A few disclaimers.... Most of the tinny vibrating sounds are just the recording quality, HOWEVER I will admit that I sometimes have the A clarinet grunt on some of my upper register notes. Overall, I know I can play this a little bit better BUT I decided that what if this happens at my audition and I play worse than ever? so I figured let me get comments at my lowest point to make my lowest point higher. There are a few silly note errors (one time I had to keep from laughing it was so ridiculous) that is becuase I'm playing from memory and started to second guess myself at the last mintue and played wrong notes. AS for the occasional honk and squawk.. I guess im just that bad still. Please feel free to point out anything and make a suggestion.
Thank-you in Advance.
Tom
