Kathy, I always used to believe we all had to teach pupils in our own way; or at least a way that worked for both them and us. I have had long arguments with a friend who teaches Suzuki Method violin on this topic. I can't argue with his results. I would tend to agree with a lot of your points but remember the lines:

"There are nine and thirty ways
Of constructing tribal lays'
And every single one of them is right."

I always told my pupils who wanted to buy a professional recording of any work they were studying that they should not do so unless they could obtain at least two different ones. I enjoyed your performances, but even if I could play the works as well as you I would play them differently. That doesn't mean you haven't given me any ideas; still less that you are wrong.
Do keep on doing your videos.
