Hi Fred,

The official Sibelius forum is very good for speedy, knowledgeable answers.
I've posted some fairly obscure queries there and usually had a full
response within about 15 minutes. The forum is closely monitored by Daniel
from Sibelius, who I think writes the program manual, and patiently answers
all levels of questions. The forum is also followed by a lot of heavy-duty
users who happily share their knowledge.

I believe that since being bought by Avid, Sibelius have started charging
for telephone support. But frankly, in 5 years of using Sibelius I've never
had a query that wasn't answered either in the manual or by the official
forum.

I'm sure it's possible to download a free trial version, and it would be
worth your while to give it a go. I've used a few notation programs (Finale,
Lilypond and, years ago, Encore) and Sibelius is far and away my favourite.

Regards,

Mark
