Hello Kathy,

Thank you very much for sharing that with us (your post of Jan 11/11).
I am just a lurker on the Klarinet site and my personal challenge is
old age (80 next June) among other things. I played the clarinet not
too badly (or so I remember it now) as a teenager about a million
years ago, left it for over 50 years during my academic career, then
returned to it after retiring - so I'm also a returnee. A very
different situation from yours, but what we have in common is a love
of the instrument. I find that my general mood is in a symbiotic
relationship with how I have been playing on any particular day, and I
dread the day when I won't be able to play any longer. However, your
prospects are obviously much much better, and I urge you to take
heart. My point is just to say that I feel strong sympathy with you
and wish you well in your present and future endeavours. I have always
enjoyed your posts and performances. Keep them coming.

Warmest regards, Bob
