Subj: [kl] Reeds an humidity
Date: Wed, 22 Dec 2010 22:10:05 -0500

On the subject of reeds and humidity, and coming from Brisbane we know a
great deal about it, I bought a Vandoren Hygrocase. Expensive, but you have
a reading of the humidity level on the box, and the reeds play better right
from first go. Thoroughly recommend it. Right now, given daily heavy rain
and thunderstorms, we have a real stinker of a day, humidity probably around
100% and 30 degrees Celsius, yet my reed box is a steady 67% humidity and a
temperate 24 degrees. Oh, and you are not getting me out of the air con
today.
