As I mentioned previously, I did notice, while up in blizzard-land, I never had
any issues with expansion/contraction or cracking, however, the climate appeared
more stable, as in consistently cold and dry versus 88 degrees Fahrenheit one
day and 60 the next, etc etc etc.

The indecisive weather has been hard on my reeds lately as well, so my guess
would be that climate stability would play a bigger part than it's daily
characteristics?
Another possibility is that the sudden change from 30 degree weather to 80
degree weather simply "surprised" the wood? Correct me if I'm wrong. We need a
real meteorologist to chime in here. ;)
