Subj: [kl] Sabine Meyer Movement
Date: Sat, 27 Nov 2010 19:54:20 -0500

I suppose what bothers me about Sabine Meyer's movement is it's irrelevance to the musical line and the bending forward at the waist that ca't help the breathing, and reminds me of the ducking and weaving of a boxer.

I am coming from the position of having moved a lot in my younger days, when my mindset was that the audience came to see me primarily and not hear the music. Now that I have rethought the musical priorities to the thought process that the music is the most important part of the performance and I am merely its vessel, the only movement I do now is the communicate with the pianist and convey through my body language my utter joy at making music

There are so many things in life to be serious about. Music shouldn't be one of them...
