Well, if you can afford buying the pair Bb/A, then you usually save some
money and buy the "normal" Bb clarinet. However, if you can only buy a
single clarinet, than the full Bb system is very worthwhile. Don't
forget that it comes with a bit more than the low Eb :-)
BTW, Bucchi's Concerto for solo clarinet is another piece written with
the full system in mind.
