I THINK there was one time where i saw an Eb in an A clarinet part. It's one of those chance music pieces I think the title is Promenade overture or something like that by corigliano. in one spot the 2nd clarinet part changes to A and if I remember right there was an Eb in there. On the score the 1st and 2nd clarinet staves are together on one sheet so I remember everyone looking at each other when that came up but I don't remember if it was the 1st clarinet part in Bb or the 2nd in A, However I really feel like it was the 2nd part. Anyway.. it happens only once and its not a solo or soli of any kind so we just didnt play or took it up an octave.
