I think I missed something somewhere. What does her being female have to do with
anything?

Side note: Gender may work out well for our principal clarinetist in his mind.
In rehearsals, he has 2 female bassoon players to his left and 2 female
clarinetists to his right. I'm sure he's not complaining.

A few years ago, I did some trial playing on a Bb/A set of Full Boehm Selmers
(not sure specifically which models). I thought that the LH Ab/Eb key got in my
way more than anything. They were also too heavy for me to play on any kind of
regular basis. Is there anything written where the added low Eb would be needed
on an A clarinet?
