There is a bit that makes me think of Manuel Defalla's Ritual Fire
Dance. That would be on a Carrot recorder. (Completely carrot;
fipple and all)

Making a carrot clarinet:

I tried googleing for carrot clarinet specifications to see if I could
get measurements to make a good carrot clarinet, but didn't find
anything.

Can anyone tell us how to make a carrot clarinet?

> Today on the CBS Sunday morning show, a Viennese orchestra, whose members=
play only on vegetables, was given a 10 minute show. The instruments inclu=
ded a carrot clarinet, a zucchini with a pepper on the end of it, percussio=
n instruments made from onion skins, beans, and a large pumpkin that was th=

> It was delightful. =A0The only drawback was that in the orchestra's recen=
t tour of the US, they had to make all of the instruments for every concert=
because they don't last for more than a few hours. So the group arrives in=
any city the night before and spends the next morning and afternoon buying=
and making the instruments. And should they not find a proper cucumber, fo=
r example, the instrumentation changes from concert to concert.
