Well, ummm, yes, I would call myself an optimist. There's not a lot wrong
with the instrument. I figured the barrel would help with a couple of tuning
problems around the throat tones, as in the stifling Brisbane summer heat, I
have to pull out the barrel a could 2 of 3 mm. Otherwise the rest is fine.
Just out of curiosity, why would you be "sure" that "fluffy" notes (do you
mean individually out of tune? stuffy? Both?) would be cured by a barrel -
Morrie Backun's or anyone else's? Not trying to pick a fight. This just
struck me as being a little optimistic
