Hi Tom, and aother friends here,

I confirm after using both silver plated and nickel plated intruments that
silver is indeed less slippery,
so if you have any problem of keeping your fingers where they should sit on
the keys, you should
prefer silver. This is even more true if your hands get easily moist.

On the other hand, silver sometimes needs some polishing with a special
inpregnated cloth to keep
shining, where nickel always stays untarnished. And to be complete, some
people are allergic to
Nickel..
