Most unfortunately, audio and video synchronization for web transmissions is still very much work in progress. Not long ago I tuned into the BBC news live streaming broadcast and the audio and video were off by several seconds.

There are other problems also. Cal Poly Pomona uses the Classic Arts Showcase as filler when courses are not being taught on that channel. Tune into this one and listen to the audio. It is pretty bad. Just to hear how bad, tune into your cable or satellite service (if it offers CAS) and switch between the web version and the cable/satellite version. It may be a budget problem in the CSU system, I simply don't know.
