Hi John, and all friends,

May be it just shows that even the Berliner Phils are able to become more
flexible than they used to be...

And by the way, we also had some evidence of it when, after fighting for a
long time, they eventually
accepted that women could join the orchestra... For that, we have to give
credit to Herbert von, and to
Sabine Meyer. Does it mean that the clarinet has some specific virtue of
bringing civilisation into
the most hostile territories ? Why not, after all....

To be complete, I am not at all trying to compare the Boehm and German
system, in terms of "quality",
would it be because I have never tried the German system (I would love to,
but I cannot really afford
buying a fine German system clarinet to compare with my nice Buffet...).

Best regards,
Christophe.
