Subj: [kl] Music for charity: "Resonance" by the ATLAS experiment
Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2010 08:42:14 -0500

Dear all,

I hope you will forgive me if I make some sort of advertisement. I'd
like to draw your attention on the recordings of "Resonance", a set of
two CDs recorded by people working on the ATLAS experiment at CERN,
whose aim is collecting money for the Happy Children's Home, a charity
that runs an orphanage in Pokara, Nepal. I contributed by playing my
own transcription of the Bach's Sonata BWV 1001. During the couple of
hours of my recording session, I also played BWV 1003, which you can
play for free from my web site.

The package (2 CD + 1 DVD) will be released on 6 Dec 2010, just in time
for Christmas. It should not be very expensive (though I don't know yet
how I'll have to pay to get my own set) and individual tracks should be
also available independently on the web. You'll find all information on
http://cern.ch/atlas-music-resonance

Best regards,
Diego

PS: Apologies for the previous message, which was sent by mistake
