The keywork looks far more like an oboe, but the bore doesn't look conical
enough. Maybe it's a German system clarinet? They're rare in Britain and
Ireland, but the Berlin Phil won't allow a Boehm system. Similarly, there
are famed bassoon makers like Puchner of Nauheim who also make clarinets,
German system only. If you're in the US you mayn't realise the amount of
national xenophobia about such matters. I know of German bandmasters who
refused to use saxophones, because they were a Belgian invention. (Didn;t
seem to matter that saxhorns were from the same source.). So if you search
for a German (Oehler??) system it may be the answer.
