The only one I can tell you about with any certainty is the last, or one of the last, that he played. It is a Buffet R13 and it is in the musical instrument collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan. Pretty grungy-looking, last time I saw it.

Subject: [kl] Benny Goodman's Clarinets

Can anyone please tell me about Benny Goodman's clarinets? What he liked to play at various points in his career (Selmers mostly) and apocryphal stories about what happened to his instruments after his death in 1986; sold, being played today and who by, retained by his family, presented to a national collection, and so on.
Many thanks,
Michael Bryant
