Hello everyone
I despair anyone who does not find Baroque music absolutely incredible. I can listen to Bach's organ and piano works all day at work, and the joy I feel when playing Bach's works for solo violin and cello is matched only by playing the Bach and Handel oboe and flute works on my C clarinet. If anyone finds Baroque music boring and easy to play, then in my opinion, you are not playing it right. And sometimes the lesser known composers provide unexpected delights. I have played two of the Reger clarinet sonatas now, and find them to be incredibly beautiful.
Kind regards Kathy Williams-DeVries

Have you investigated the French Baroque composers? Loeillet & Boismortier wrote some lovely oboe sonatas, which I think work well on a C clarinet. There is also a Boismortier work for flute, oboe (works well on C clarinet again), violin & bassoon + continuo which we played the other day with a C (I played bassoon) which I found great fun.
