I don't dislike baroque music.

This thread started because I disagreed with the assertion that all
contemporary music was garbage.

My argument is that just as much of it is garbage as baroque or
classical music is. Those genres have had the gift of time to bubble
the good stuff to the surface. Contemporary music doesn't have that
advantage.

There's tons of REALLY awful baroque and classical (period) music that
no one listens to. Contemporary music that is crap today, will still
be crap 200 years from now. But the good stuff will last.
