What you say is your own particular like and dislike, for which I am happy
that you have such a view. But you cannot take your situation as being a
model for what the world of classical music lovers are doing.

I doubt if I would ever buy a CD containing music by a composer about whom I
knew nothing. But that's me and I do not presume to say that my perspective
is a model of the world of classical music lovers.

I beg to differ. I constantly order CDs by composers I've never heard
of, and have often found wonderful, even beautiful pieces as a result.
Kamran Ince, for example; Michael Daugherty, or Libby Larsen, for
example.

I mostly don't attend the concert hall because they play the same crap
over and over again. Boring!
