No, it's actually called a sopranino, but I don't know why. Being half the
size of an alto clarinet, soprano would be more appropriate. We don't have
an Ab soprano. If we did, that would make the high Ab a true sopranino. We
should have soprano Basset horn in F. This could go on forever........

BTW, here is a video of the Seika HS Band. Pretty scary and virtuosic.
Notice how they even move together and seem to have the music memorized. BBb
contra and two bass clarinets are used.
