Gosh. A lot of the basset horns I get with a google search look more
like alto clarinets than the one in the film. A google search for a
basset clarinet retrieves some instruments that look like the one
Frost uses.

This one is interesting. It is a Basset A extension.

It has no extra right hand pinky keys. I guess the tone holes of the
extension are operated by extra keys of the right hand thumb? Maybe
one could work out a system using one's palm?
