Back as far as version 3.7 there seems to be a weak algorithm for putting multimeasure rests at the end of a page to assist convenient page turns when extraction of parts is effected, but in my experience it works only when the rests are already very close to the end of a page or the beginning of a page. I'm not even sure that it isn't my imagination in the case of version 3.7.

Ah, well, being able to give a blanket % reduction, position of first system on the first page, position of page numbers would be a convenient link to parts, even though one needs to indicate a page offset to make room for a preface and/or title page on some parts but not on others will continue to be a problem.

Anyway, my new desktop, screaming at 3.2 GHz for video editing will arrive on Tuesday and I'll get to find out if slopping Finale 3.7 onto my c: drive, already installed on previous operating systems, will work with Windows 7. Stay tuned.

Oliver
