Not to be too much of a wet blanket, the idea of the either of the two Weber
clarinet concerti in band arrangements sound grim. Maybe a small, wind
ensemble would reduced the anguish, but for a full band as accompaniment to
such a light and airy work is not going to produce a produce that resembles
anything that Weber wrote.

There are certain works that simply will not undergo a transcription for a
band performance, and Weber's music falls into that category.

I was once in London on a Sunday and went to a park for a walk. There was a
British military band there playing the Mozart overture to the Marriage of
Figaro. I could not get out of that park fast enough.
