Hi Nitai!
I have found that one microphone is totally unsatisfactory on a bass. I use two (one in the bell, one opposite the thumb hole ) feeding into a small mixer/power supply/pre-amp. I would use three if the mixer allowed.
I wouldn't waste my time trying to make a mike. I experimented with earphones myself but even a cheap condenser mike gives so much better results.

Hello

I'm going to attach a barrel/neck pickup to my clarinet and bass clarinet. The
question is just what to get or maybe if it's somehow possible to make one
myself instead of buying. Has anyone compared several? Anyone made one
themselves?

I found these:

Pasoana http://pasoana.com/

TAP

I've heard of people making them from earphones and hearing and but never
really understood what and how exactly.

Thanks

Nitai
