I was about to say that you had your hands backwards!. I've developed
arthritis in the right-hand pinkie finger, causing a pronounced curve. Since
that is a busy finger on the clarinet, I had to spend some time re-training
it to work properly (Baermann 3rd). So far the arthritis has not worsened
and all is well. The little finger on the left hand is beginning to show
signs of arthritis now.
