That is good to know. I am going on my experience w/parafilm, though
not used for this application, I have worked with it in the
laboratory, which may be why you can see how I would think it would
break.

Whether it would break might be a matter of positioning. I used one
of those upper tooth pads (mouthpiece patch) on the top of my mp for a
while, which though for a different application and not made of
parafilm, worked quite well. In a position like that (between teeth
and a hard rubber/plastic surface), I would expect parafilm to fail.
Perhaps between the bottom teeth and the lip it would work fine, since
the lip is a soft surface.
