You could try one of those anti tooth grinding guards from a local
drug store. I had one for a while, though you may need one that is
not too bulky. It depends upon whether you want something to cover
the teeth, as in the directions on the lip ease or cover the lip, as
the discussion appears to suggest to me.

Parafilm does not strike me as very durable; it's pliable nature is
liable to be bitten through rather quickly, if put on the teeth as
directed. I have seen the stuff wrapped around banana stems. I can't
see why because the stems held the bunch of bananas together fine, but
it was used nonetheless. They might have been trying to reduce water
evaporation from the stems. That never seemed to be a problem to me.

Wax impregnated paper or cloth tape sounds more durable, except that
paper may shred sooner than a woven cloth tape. I am still a bit
leery about wax because wax usually moves and you would lose your
cushion and end up with some bare threads. It would be better to have
a pliable material that doesn't break through so readily. Maybe
silicone, but the silicone caulking on our tub enclosure peels away
and breaks.

Lee Ann,
Parafilm is used in labs. Look for a lab supplier like Fisher Scientific.

Try florist tape. Ask for white...no toxic stuff in the white. A roll will
last you a very long time. (keep it in a zip
lock bag)

It's paper tape impregnated with wax. The paper will absorb the moisture
in your mouth and make it melt into the form of
your teeth...the wax holds it together.

You can fold it, roll it over and make it as narrow or wide as you like.
Toss each bit used after.....

Cheap and a very good (flexible) solution.
