Since my business is fixing cases (see below), I can tell you that I
know how Protec cases are made. While they are well-constructed for
their type of bag, they really are inferior to a decent solid case.
And, quite frankly, clarinets aren't that heavy that you can't easily
carry a wooden case. I wouldn't use a non-solid case, simply because
they are less protective of the instrument.
