I would suspect that the mouthpiece suffered a great deal from being
boiled. But such things are all in the eyes (or ears) of the beholder.
If you want to roll dice, I would suggest a crap game, not mouthpiece
boiling.

I was just curious.. is the build up on the inside on the tip? or
along the sides of the outside? or both? On my mouthpiece, I only
get build up (that sticks when you clean it) on the sides on the
outside of my mouthpiece. I just brush it with toothpaste and ignore
it.

Before I knew not to submerge the cork, I boiled the whole
mouthpiece. nothing happened except it got cleaned. I still use the
same MP today so maybe you could roll the dice and try that. thats
probably not the best advice though.
