Just out of interest Tony would this be because you were always being asked to play it? I remember that at the time of the "Benny Goodman Story" film the last movement in particular was almost a 'pop' hit.
Re Beecham how many members of this list aren't familiar with the Beecham/Brymer/Brooke recording of the clarinet & bassoon concerti. In spite of its age it is still one of my favourites even if modern musicologists may sneer.
