Using the two pitches for horns just allows tuning of both the F and Eb
sides of the horn on open tubing. If they play double horns, they usually
have 2 main tuning slides for open pitches, and then they need to tune each
slide on each side of the horn for each valve. (Clear as mud, right?)

That said, there is very little that should need to be changed unless they
have accidentally shoved the slides all the way in after dumping water out.
They should know about where each slide should be placed, and put them back
near the mark made on the slide by the grease.
