Jennifer,

Hoping the below is not a dig at me. Yes, I have a postgraduate degree in Shakespeare studies, have seen over a third of his plays live on stage, taken Shakespearean acting classes and even worked in a Shakespearean Theatre for a couple of years. I am nobody important, just a player who used to be good as an undergrad student and just a hack now whose only following are the little old ladies that come to my concerts on a Sunday afternoon. But I believe clarinet playing can be approached from a philosophical standpoint, and the thought process behind said philosophy should not be discouraged. It's just the way I approach music, and I wanted to share...
